Amanda works on litigation matters in state and federal courts around the country. She has represented clients in a variety of matters, including real estate and real property litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, labor and employment discrimination claims, Title IX claims, workers’ compensation retaliation claims, shareholder oppression and squeeze out, drug and medical device defense, and False Claims Act litigation.
Amanda also regularly helps clients solve their employment related problems in a variety of ways. First, she counsels clients on the numerous situations that can arise related to their employees, including termination and disciplinary decisions, workplace investigations, reasonable accommodation issues under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), wage-and-hour issues under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Family Medical Leave Act. Amanda strives to help clients solve their problems in a practical and efficient manner. Second, she routinely assists employers with policies, handbooks, and procedures. Third, Amanda represents clients in employment-related litigation. She actively litigates employment disputes involving the defense of federal and state employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, wage-and-hour FLSA claims, and workers’ compensation and employment claims predicated on state law tort and contract theories.
